Construction update Oysterduinen

Since the start of rentals in phase 1, we have been pleasantly surprised by the demand for the vacation rentals. Even in the traditionally quieter months, we are seeing an occupancy rate that far exceeds our expectations. This confirms it all: Resort Oysterduinen is a popular destination for guests all year round.

We are seeing a remarkable development in the business market. More and more professionals are consciously choosing Oysterduinen because of the peace, privacy, and high-quality amenities. The strategic location near Antwerp proves to be a major advantage: corporate guests appreciate the combination of easy accessibility and the resort's serene surroundings.

Construction update Lake Retreats

As previously mentioned, important work is scheduled to further shape the park. We deliberately do not carry out any work in July and August because of the summer vacation and the presence of guests on the premises. This way, we ensure a quiet and relaxed atmosphere at the park.

We will start the first major work in September. For example, preparing the site for construction, creating the infrastructure, and making preparations for the first homes. An important step that gives Lake Retreats more of a shape.

The coming weeks will be all about preparation. We are working hard on planning and coordination with all parties involved. This way, we ensure that we can get off to a good start in September.

Construction update Fryske Mar

We are pleased to inform you that the nature permit has been officially granted. This is an essential step in the completion process and brings us one step closer to the actual construction of the resort. With this permit in hand, we can confidently continue building Resort Fryske Mar, which is perfectly balanced with the surrounding nature.

When this resort enters the rental market, there will be a name change. After a period of careful consideration, gathering many suggestions, and a great deal of creativity, one suggestion from the naming contest immediately caught our attention: De Wetterhoun. This name is inspired by the Frisian dog breed known for its loyal character and strong connection to water: precisely the qualities we want to see reflected in the resort. The winner of the naming contest will shortly receive a personal message and the agreed prize as a thank you for providing such inspiration. We would like to thank everyone who contributed their ideas; your involvement is greatly appreciated. 

With the environmental permit secured and the construction permit pending, we look forward to the start of the construction work in the third quarter. Preparations are in full swing and we will of course keep you informed of the first visible changes on the property.
